2023 reprerss! / binary digit’s second ep on new label zeitnot. five club-ready cuts encompassing acid, electro and techno. on the a side you have two fast paced 135+ acid electro tracks in the form of crook acid and sneaking out of the club. untitled 38490 conjures up images of euphoric rave house whilst untitled 2 goes for a straight up dmx krew electro vibe. zeitnot is a collaborative project between anil lal (furthur electronix) and jordan carnall (seven hills). our ethos is simple: to showcase/release quality electronic music on hand stamped, white label vinyl. from electro to acid techno, breaks to braindance, these cuts were pressed with the club in mind. dark rooms and smoke machine required.

to infinity and beyond. ufo95, alias killian vaissade is a french artist and electronic music producer. in search of unknown sounds, ufo95 travels through different worlds and different eras. he finds his inspiration in the psychedelic rock from the 60s and 70s, and in the techno scene from the 90s or even the idm scene, such as aphex twin... he also draws from the jungle and experimental scenes to propel a hypnotic, alienating and decidedly unique sound. very early on, music was his calling. mainly because he lived with his family above his parents’s nightclub. killian learned to play several instruments, he will also tryout rock bands in high school. as he turned 18, he chose to move towards music through sound engineering. first contact: he was then abducted by electronic music and, selftaught, he launched other artistic projects. he started playing under other aliases, and first live performed with rgs collective. recently, he landed in the reunion island in order to set up a family start-up, which works to reclaim environmental waste. recently back in france, he confined himself out into the countryside during the spring of 2020 and fired up ufo95, an unidentified fabulous object of music. he also released his first lp >popularity is overrated< on mama told ya label, in a cosmic collaboration with anetha. ufo95 is a good guy. be like ufo95. explore. enjoy.the b-side starts with syndrome. its earth-shattering kick and hypnotic atmospheres drag the listening into a weird, occult journey. ideal for the late-night darkrooms, metaphorically and figuratively. takaaki itoh, the japanese techno sensation and founder of the acclaimed wols label, follows up with his own rendition of the track. the remix from this remarkable legend within the scene is both eerie and engaging from the get-go. its driven by a thumping kick, playful hi-hats, and modular bells – a combination that combines the whole release and makes it such an essential for djs who are daring enough to take their set toward unknown territory. the planet x label is the brainchild of the icelandic techno artist exos where the harder side of techno is explored.

modern obscure music welcomes the sun god for the anticipatory organization. this is a fantastically powerful three track ep to move the body and the mind. it is the work of a distinctive producer who focuses on powerful rhythms and ear catching melodies.

for the sun god, music has a healing power and the club has the ability to bring people together. he is respectful to the history of electronic music and where it comes from, but still pushes forward with his spiritually rooted yet technologically aware sound.

the sun god is jamal moss aka the hieroglyphic being. therefore, this is actually his return to the label. he remixed pedro vian s dancing hindus as the hieroglyphic being, which was released on mom001.

almost otherworldly in its vastness and serene beauty, many musicians have drawn from the well of inspiration that is arizona’s sonoran desert, but few are quite as accomplished or prolific as steve roach. an ambient pathfinder and electronic innovator, his back catalogue as vast as those breathtaking vistas – sonic renderings of arid landscapes littered with saguaro cacti are found in good company alongside didgeridoo-focused experiments and ethereal drifts that navigate the event horizon, between the brilliance of space and a black abyss.
reminiscent of philip glass’ minimalism and the kosmische stylings of tangerine dream, ‘skeleton keys’ seemed to fall somewhere between the two. conjuring expansive meditations amongst the impossible tangle of wires that dangle from his apparatus, roach opens portals from the grand canyon state into a cluster of newborn stars with intricate, intelligent sequencing and modular synthesis.
recorded between 2005 and 2015 from roach’s famed timeroom and timehouse studios, the album was fully realized through advancements in technology, specifically, synthesizers.com’s large format analog modular sequencer. organic, fluid and intuitively kneaded into his spooling soundscapes, it’s now to be committed to cassette for the first time, bridging the synaptic gap with a new ‘expanded’ version that elongates the original 74-minute duration.

the young nordic label is back at it with a sturdy 12” vinyl release, produced by the helsinki underground electronic music champion poly sone. the three tracker kicks off with an intro track titled “come find me” which combines stripped down rhythm patterns with a subtle choir pad. on top of the foundation, an entrancing spoken word verse works as the main ingredient throughout the track. as the needle pushes onwards to the title track “echolocate”, the listener is confronted with a robust wall of lowend, soon accompanied by rolling percussions and clever use of reverb and delay. the simple composition highlights its sterling production and makes for a highly useful dancefloor tool. the last track “helix” bundles up the record nicely as the most melodic one of the bunch. the agile synth stabs and dystopic pads operate on a surprisingly groovy soil of bass and drums which add up to a dreamy whole.
